Custodial & restroom supply inventory
Keep essential restroom and cleaning supplies from running out without guessing at order quantities. This editable worksheet tracks stock, replenishment thresholds, equipment compatibility and assigned locations.
What to track in a school custodial inventory
Custodial closets often hold products with different pack sizes, dispenser requirements and usage rates. Tracking only the product name is not enough. Identify the building, closet or storage location, exact product or compatible refill, unit of measure, quantity currently available and the minimum stock to retain.
Restroom consumables
- Toilet tissue and dispenser-specific refills
- Roll and folded paper towels
- Hand soap and sanitizer refills
- Trash bags or liners sized for receptacles
- Disposable gloves and personal protective supplies
Facility cleaning supplies
- Appropriate surface and restroom cleaners
- Mop heads, buckets and floor-care accessories
- Microfiber cloths, wipes and cleaning tools
- Replacement dispensers, signs and maintenance items
- Spare batteries and related facility necessities
Choose reorder points based on real usage
Start with typical consumption between deliveries and add a sensible buffer for busy periods, staff absences or school events. Review the point after several order cycles. For example, if a building normally uses eight compatible paper-towel refills during a replenishment cycle, a reorder point of one remaining refill is probably too low. Actual usage and restocking frequency should determine the appropriate threshold.
How to use the Excel worksheet
- Record the building, stockroom and staff contact for each line.
- Identify the exact item and any required dispenser or equipment compatibility.
- Enter On Hand, Reorder Point and Target Stock using the same purchasing unit.
- The sheet indicates REORDER when current stock reaches the reorder point and calculates a suggested quantity to reach target stock.
- Confirm current pricing, stock availability and actual packaging before placing an order.
Restroom inspection and replenishment
The printable checklist provides space to record inspection date, restroom location, dispensers to replenish, supplies needed and staff sign-off. It is meant as a supply record—not a cleaning chemistry procedure or a substitute for district sanitation policies.
